We’re very pleased to share a new element of our project, Modernist Hull: A Walking Guide to the Post-war City.
Long-time followers of the Half Life project will remember that our research started with a series of walking workshops and tours of the city – sometimes led by us and sometimes led by members of Hull’s local communities.
These tours through the city were intended to give us an initial insight into the places and spaces that meant the most to people. But they soon became an integral part of our research process. More than two years later, we’re returning to the format of a self-guided tour to share some of the sites and stories that have featured in our project so far.
Modernist Hull is a free, self-guided walking and wheeling tour now available in print and online. Print copies can be found in Hull Paragon Interchange, various friendly spots across Hull and East Yorkshire (please get in touch to stock them!), as well as via the modernist. An online copy can be downloaded here.
We’d love to know what you think of our new tour. Please share your thoughts here, or email us.
